Amun-Ini Beach Resort

Trip Leader: Amy Christopher

Ocean First continues our commitment to ocean conservation with another stellar adventure where we include coral restoration work in our itinerary. This time we travel to the gorgeous Philippines and Amun-Ini Beach Resort on the island of Bohol. Located in the heart of the coral triangle, the reefs surrounding Amun-Ini contain over 2,000 fish species, 76% of the world's species, and 6 of the world's turtle species. All of the 38 dive sites are a short boat drive away, less than 15 minutes from the dive shop. Our trip includes hands-on coral planting dives where, after an informative discussion from a local marine biologist, our divers will actively participate in transplanting baby corals to their new homes in the ocean. This rewarding work all takes place in a marine protected area right in front of the resort.
