Boulder native Pete took his first dive alongside his dad, Jim, and he’s been chasing the deep blue (and sharks) ever since. A former college hockey player with a passion for adrenaline and teamwork, he traded skates for fins and built a life beneath the surface—running a boutique dive resort in Indonesia, a laid-back shop on Carriacou, Grenada, and working on various film, humanitarian, and environmental projects. His dedication culminated in 2019 when he received the prestigious SSI Platinum Pro 5,000 Dive Award for his contributions to scuba diving.

These days, he serves as a Boulder County Sheriff's Deputy, bringing his calm-under-pressure mindset from the ocean to the mountains and back. Pete’s heart still beats for scuba, and when he’s not patrolling the streets of Boulder County, this Master Scuba Instructor can be found teaching and sharing the magic of the underwater world whenever he can.
