This special cruise offers guests a glimpse into the world of the largest mammals on earth: blue whales! We will have the unique opportunity to snorkel alongside these majestic creatures in a respectful and safe manner. The crew is organized into “observation teams” who keep a sharp eye on the water surface for blows or other signs of whale activity, alerting the guests when the timing is right for an encounter. The whale expert and MV Pindito know the areas that are preferred by these large marine mammals (including sperm, Bryde’s and orcas) and both our long experience and trained eyes do the rest. In addition to the snorkeling experiences, approximately 24 dives will be offered on this cruise. There is something for everyone; whales in the morning, seahorses in the afternoon and everything in between. All of this takes place in the beautiful Banda Sea, home to some of the world's best diving. Healthy reefs, prolific marine life, and seamingly endless walls describe the diving environment.
This is an adventure of a lifetime in a very special part of Indonesia and is the epitome of a true adventure. The itinerary is dictated by the animals' movement; we go with the flow!
