Alisa Slawinski - Instructor/Camp Counselor/Conservation Lead

Alisa grew up in a small town in New York where her love for the marine world started with little freshwater turtles nesting in her grandmas backyard. After graduating from Canisius University with a B.S. in Animal Behavior and Environmental Sciences, Alisa moved on to begin her career in sea turtle rehabilitation in Georgia. From there, Alisa traveled to the Maldives to work as a marine biologist where she completed her dive master certification and got to experience the real magic of the ocean. From the Maldives, Alisa came to the Keys where she worked at Marine Lab and the Turtle Hospital before finding herself here at OceanFirst. Since being here, she also completed her IDC and became an SDI OWSI! Alisa is excited to join the team, work with the TIDES camps, and share her passion for marine life!
