Fish Diversity Experience
Did you know that over 400 species of fish make Caribbean reefs their home? Students who participate in TIDES Fish Diversity learn first-hand just how incredibly diverse and abundant our aquatic relatives are. Students will complete Ocean First Education’s Caribbean Fish Identification course and put their fish identification skills to use in an ocean-based expedition to participate in citizen science projects focusing on species diversity, abundance, and identification of indicator species.The SSI Specialties Night/Limited Visibility and Waves, Tides, and Currents are included in the program cost. Past expeditions have traveled to the Florida Keys, Belize, and Cayman Islands.

Prerequisites:
- Age: 12-18
- Nitrox and Perfect Buoyancy Scuba Certifications (can be added to cost of course)
- All participants must complete a SCUBA medical waiver and be in good health
- Gear: Students must own their own snorkel equipment (scuba mask, fins, snorkel)
